Dear complex human,
I wrote you a little note about how amazing you are - I hope you’ll take a moment to read it today.
If you’re not on social media (good for you!) here’s what it says,
Dear complex human,
Just stopping in to remind you
that be your challenges
physical or mental
should your journey include things
you can't quite discuss
or things you aren't sure how
to mention
like abuse or
special needs parenting
or that time you ate
everything in the fridge
to cope --
you are STILL
absolutely
completely
fabulously
amazing.
I know this because God made you
and
here
you still are
for something grander
than you or I can imagine...
but maybe
just maybe
we can dare to imagine.
Maybe?
Whew. That felt good to get out.
On this note will you tell me if you'll TRY to imagine the greatness you've been made for this weekend, love?
Me, I definitely will.
See you in the morning?
I'll be meeting with incredible women at the virtual @momsformentalhealth table tomorrow at 10 am MST. Amy Brown will pour into us - reminding us of Whose we are, come what may. Did you notice the "us"? You AND me. Because you're invited!! Always, always. Here’s the link to join us. Click on pre-register here for free and you’ll be able to sign up for one or multiple table meets!
We're better together, complex human.
And I'm cheering you on.
P.S. I sat down at my table all summer long trying to find myself in my Bible. This time, I dug in looking quite specifically for women - as pandemic parenting (of a special needs kiddo) was too great a burden to bear without leaning into my God and his historical goodness to us. All of us. Including women. If you aren’t familiar with Hagar, Shiphrah, Puah, and the Woman at the Well - you’ll definitely want to stick around these next few months!
With Love,
Jennifer
